This guidance has been developed by Crunch Days Publishing in collaboration with the International Blood Sport League (IBSL).
Are you an athlete competing in or looking to compete in IBSL sanctioned competitions? If you are, you may be undergoing disturbing emotions that could negatively impact your performance.
The very nature of IBSL competitions are inherently violent and, in the vast majority of cases, highly lethal. This can understandably induce intense feelings of fear and dread at the prospect of your death. The IBSL is committed to supporting you to effectively manage these feelings and become the best blood sports athlete you can be.
If you do suffer from the feelings described and are considering rejecting or cancelling your IBSL competitor contract, please take the following advisory steps:
Firstly, accept and recognise the feelings you are experiencing. They are natural human emotions in stemming from your evolutionary instinct to survive and reproduce. These instincts are a relic of a brutal and scarce time. As a human of the modern age, you have an opportunity to achieve true glory and legacy by overcoming these base instincts and embracing your capacity for entertaining violence.
Second, remember the lucrative financial rewards of IBSL competitions. As an IBSL athlete, you will receive a highly generous compensation and benefits package. In addition to your standard contractual compensation, you also have the opportunity to win a substantial prize bonus payment if you win the competition in which you are competing. Even if you fail to win your competition and perish, you can die with the comfort of knowing that your full contractual benefits will be paid to your nominated loved ones.
Third, seek advice from IBSL physical and mental health professionals. Whilst IBSL athletes are contractually required to undergo regular physical and mental health assessments, you are also entitled to receive physical and mental health support from the IBSL at any point during your contractual period. IBSL is able to provide a wide range of world class medical services and facilities to optimise your mind and body for competitions.
Consider availing yourself of Compliance-12, the IBSL proprietary medication that has been synthesised to suppress unhelpful fear reactions and encourage adrenaline production. These chemical corrections will ethically enhance your performance in the face of expected and actual violence. Compliance-12 is free and complimentary for all IBSL athletes, so please take advantage of the medication if advised by your IBSL physician.
Lastly, focus on your own self actualisation and enrichment. Remember why chose to become a blood sports athlete. Many athletes join the IBSL as their previous lives and jobs offered nothing but a daily draining of their physical and emotional energy. A lifetime of desperate mediocrity laves them and you feeling like a constantly half charged battery. As an IBSL athlete, you can cleanse away the rot of your daily life with the intensity and glory of violent survival.
Remember, IBSL athletes are never alone. The whole IBSL family are here to help you be the best physical and mental blood athlete you can be. Open yourself up to support and achieve your dreams.
